A Smashing Success!
While Mexican Lasagna, Caribbean Jerk Chicken and Shrimp ‘n Grits doesn’t exactly sound like a winning combination, those were just a few of dishes enjoyed by more than 700 people supporting the Lamar Educational Awards Foundation at this year’s Men Who Cook, presented by SiEnviro.
“The evening was so much fun, cooks are already signing up for next year’s event and the Ken Mondshine and Brotherhood Band has already been reserved again,” said Judi Vernon, L.E.A.F. Board President. “We’ve never had so many stay and dance the night away!”
SiEnviro has committed to be the presenting sponsor again next year. “It is truly our pleasure to sponsor L.E.A.F.” said Managing Director Jeff Haley. “All the donors should be thanking L.E.A.F., Lamar CISD and all the teachers for what they do for our students and community. LCISD’s hard work makes us all proud and promotes the future success of our community.”
In addition to fabulous food, fabulous items were up for bid in live and silent auctions
